Experiential Learning: Info for Project Sponsors
Thank you for your interest in sponsoring a Friedman School graduate student for an experiential learning (EL) project. By participating, you’ll gain fresh perspectives and meaningful contributions to your work, while helping train the next generation of leaders in nutrition, food systems, health, and policy.
Your Role as a Sponsor
- Help the student define a clear, meaningful project scope
- Ensure the work is appropriate for a graduate-level student
- Serve as the student’s main point of contact and hold regular check-ins (usually weekly or biweekly)
- Provide professional guidance and constructive feedback
- Oversee progress toward agreed deliverables and timelines
