Violeta Chacón is a PhD candidate in Food and Nutrition Policy and Programs at the Friedman School. Before coming to Tufts, Violeta worked as a research assistant and research project coordinator at the Cardiovascular Surgery Unit of Guatemala (UNICAR) and the Institute of Nutrition of Central America and Panama (INCAP). She is a Dietitian and holds a MS in Food and Nutrition from the University of Chile. Her research interests focus on the food environments and nutrition policies that shape children and adolescent’s diets in Latin America.
