ENV 9: Intro to Food Systems is currently looking for a TA. If you know of any students with a background or interest in food systems, food studies, or a related field, we would greatly appreciate it if you could share this opportunity with them.Please see the role description below for more details:Graduate Teaching Assistant for ENV 9 Food SystemsThe Environmental Studies Program is seeking a Teaching Assistant for Food Systems for the Fall 2026 semester. The course is scheduled for Monday and Wednesday, 3:00-4:30 PM on the Medford campus.Course description:Introduction to the structure and functions of past, present, and future food systems. Emphasis is placed on the psychological, biological, social, economic and political systems that impact food production, processing, distribution, and consumption. Examination of real-world issues facing stakeholders in the New England food system.Duties:The Teaching Assistant will provide overall support for the course including attending classes, supporting in-class workshops, meeting with and supporting students, and assisting with grading.Exact responsibilities can be tailored to the TA’s interests.Requirements:
- Background or prior coursework in Food related courses
- Available to attend class on Monday and Wednesday from 3:00-4:30 PM
Available to work between 6-10 hrs/weekCompensation: $22/hrTime commitment: Up to 120 hrs/semester, varying from week to week depending on the course’s needs, but typically 6-10 hrs/week (which includes class attendance).Application: Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
