Scope of Work: Email Marketing Coordinator
 Part-Time | Remote | The Angiogenesis Foundation

Overview

The Email Marketing Coordinator will support the Angiogenesis Foundation’s mission by managing and optimizing email campaigns that communicate science-based content to a broad audience, including healthcare professionals, donors, and the public. This role will focus on campaign execution, list segmentation, lead magnet creation, and performance reporting — ensuring that all content aligns with the Foundation’s brand, voice, and strategic priorities in health, science, and innovation.

Core Responsibilities

  1. Email Campaign Management
  • Write, design, and schedule weekly email campaigns and newsletters using Beehiiv

  • Ensure messaging aligns with the Foundation’s mission and key program areas (e.g., eye health, food as medicine, wound care, cancer research)
  • Maintain an editorial calendar in coordination with program and communication priorities
  • Ensure consistency in tone, design, and audience targeting across all email communications
  1. List Management & Segmentation
  • Maintain and organize the Foundation’s email list, including tagging, segmentation, and deliverability optimization
  • Develop and manage audience segments based on engagement, program interests, donation history, and more
  • Conduct list hygiene practices to ensure ongoing accuracy and engagement
  1. Content & Lead Magnet Development
  • Collaborate with the Foundation’s team to develop high-value downloadable content (e.g., eBooks, guides, white papers, infographics) that support awareness, education, and fundraising
  • Create supporting visual assets using Canva (email banners, callouts, icons, etc.)
  • Support opt-in flows and lead generation strategy to expand the Foundation’s reach
  1. Performance Tracking & Optimization
  • Track and report on key campaign metrics (open rate, click-through rate, conversion, unsubscribes)
  • Identify trends and provide actionable insights for improving performance
  • Support A/B testing of subject lines, content, and timing as needed

  • Project Coordination: Google Workspace

Expectations & Communication

  • Time commitment: ~10 hours/week
  • Compensation: $30-40/hour
  • Reporting to: Science Innovation Lead, Chief of Staff, Director of Operations
  • Daily texting communication and participation in weekly check-ins
