Ocean Spray’s Emerging Science, Nutrition and Regulatory Affairs team is seeking an Emerging Science and Technology intern for Summer 2025. This team is actively embarking on technology scouting activities to support innovation in the food, beverage and sustainability space. We are looking for someone passionate about sustainable nutrition and the nutrient density of food for health.
Position location: We’re all about flexibility! This will be a hybrid role based out of our corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA or our Seaport Boston, MA location with Mondays & Fridays remote.
The Summer 2025 Internship Program is expected to begin on June 3rd, 2025, and end on August 21st, 2025.
A Day in The Life Of An Emerging Science Intern:
- Support tech scouting efforts to research emerging technologies for application to support long term growth.
- Link scouting efforts to relevant topics that address the strategic objectives in the areas of agro research, sustainable nutrition, and nutrition science.
- Establish technical relationships with potential partners and execute first round evaluations of start-ups or similar companies
- Leverage technical expertise to provide critical evaluation of emerging technology and potential application in the area of carbon assessment/mitigation in agricultural environment.
- Ability to look to the future to determine ways to apply the technology to accelerate innovation in a way that can increase profitability
- Work closely with cross functional teams to maximize value and level of assessment during initial meetings
- Strong growth mindset and technical curiosity – vision for how to achieve growth and success coupled with willingness to explore new things
- Operates well in a fast-past environment, self-starting, and willingness to clarify ambiguity
