New Entry Sustainable Farming Project (New Entry) – nesfp.org/about – is seeking someone for
a part-time internship during the 2025-2026 academic year to support its growing marketing
and communications function with a specific focus on brand and design.

Organization Summary:

Founded in 1998, New Entry, is an initiative of the Tufts University
Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy, that works locally in Beverly, Massachusetts,
regionally, and across the country to strengthen food systems by training and supporting new
farmers.

New Entry envisions diverse and thriving farming communities where people are connected,
farms are profitable and resilient, nutritious food is available to all, and land is stewarded for
future generations.

Intern Responsibilities:
The Marketing Brand & Design Intern will have the exciting opportunity to make a big impact by
developing new creative asset and communication templates in Canva to be used for social
media, email headers, flyers, posters etc. by teams across the organization.
This person will also help develop and document a brand style guide and provide
recommendations on brand elements such as fonts and color pallet. This intern will support
New Entry’s website refresh project by doing tasks such as adding images and content to the
new site, and they will also have the opportunity to create videos and posts for New Entry’s
growing social media.

Intern Learning Objectives and Outcomes:

  •  Build on proficiency in visual media creation and storytelling
  •  Support event and brand promotion by creating custom creative assets and helping to
    increase awareness of offerings
  •  Create new branded templates
  • Support website refresh

Desired Qualifications:

  • Wants to build on existing experience in design and digital marketing.
  • Takes initiative to problem solve and shares ideas and solution options.
  • Able to manage tasks for multiple projects with differing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong design skills and experience using Canva and other design tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and also collaboratively within a team remotely
  • Experience and success with creating content for digital and physical mediums.
  • Positive attitude, eager to learn, professional
  • Able to communicate/meet with the direct manager during the window of 9am-5pm EST most weeks.
  • Interest in what New Entry does – strengthening local food systems by training and
    supporting new farmers.

Skills development:

Digital and physical creative design, website updates, project management.

Location, Hours and Compensation:

  • This is a remote first position. Local to Beverly, MA and able to come into the office on
    occasion is a plus but not required.
  • This internship period will run during the academic year of September through April for
    8-10 hours per week.
  • Compensation is $20.50/hr for undergraduate students and $23/hr for graduate
    students.
