Room Service Expeditor
- Receives the hot or cold entrée/side items from Cook team member and matches it to the correct Expeditor ticket
- Keeps the work flow of the tray assembly area moving in an even, continuous pattern, sending meal orders down the trayline in the appropriate sequence
- Adds menu items to the tray, as assigned
- Maintains quality assurance and accuracy on all patient food trays, standardizing the location of all items placed on tray.
- Consistently monitors the Hot Food production in order to keep the hot food flow consistent
- Coordinates the work flow with the Cooks and the Tray Assembly area by continuous awareness and communication.
- Informs the Supervisor of any special situations that a diet order requires
- Maintains a clean and efficient workstation
- Rejects any unacceptable food items and requests replacement item
- Replenishes supplies on tray line
- Follows proper food handling techniques according to DPH, TJC and local agencies
- Ensures the integrity of stored food items on the tray line
- Participates in the Quality Assurance process
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of the Room Service goals for the assembly area
- Performs other duties as requested
Room Service Checker
- Coordinates the assembly of patient meals during the tray line process
- Checks all meals for accuracy, adherence to quality assurance minimums and goals
- Adds final items to meal tray
- Ensures the timely dispatch of food carts to the nursing units
- Checks all food items for acceptability and appropriateness of diet
- Rejects any unacceptable food items and requests replacement item
- Replenishes supplies on tray line
- Maintains a clean and efficient workstation
- Follows proper food handling techniques according to DPH, TJC and local agencies
- Ensures the integrity of stored food items on the tray line
- Directs staff to change assignments as needed to ensure patient satisfaction
- Participates in the Quality Assurance process
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of the Room Service goals for the assembly area
- Performs other duties as requested.
Room Service Trayline Assistant
- Checks all items at station for accuracy and adherence to quality assurance minimums before placing on meal trays
- Adds assigned items to meal tray in an accurate, efficient manner
- Able to work all stations on the trayline, as needed
- Rejects any unacceptable food items and requests replacement item
- Replenishes supplies on tray line
- Follows proper food handling techniques according to TJC and DPH
- Ensures the integrity of stored food items on the tray line
- Participates in the Quality Assurance process
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of the Room Service goals for the assembly area
- Performs other duties as requested
