Room Service Transporter
- Delivers meals carts or requested items to nursing units in a timely and efficient manner
- Communicates with Room Service Representative prior to leaving cart or tray on the Patient Care Unit
- Loads trays onto meal delivery carts
- Accurately documents time and room number information on Tray Location Log
- Places items on patient’s meal trays, as needed
- Works position on tray assembly line, as needed
- Delivers nourishments to Room Service Ambassadors on nursing units
- Retrieves soiled meal cart from nursing units
- Cleans food carts, as needed
- Assists with cleaning dish machine and dishroom
- Works in dishroom scraping, loading and unloading dish machine, as needed
- Washes pots and pans utilizing appropriate machines to ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing occurs
- Takes ownership of issues and ensures a positive outcome
- Serves as a quality assurance control point for every aspect of the Room Service program
- Assumes the role of a patient advocate
- Performs other duties as requested
