The Wellness Manager will work with the Guckenheimer café and catering teams to manage and analyze recipes, and to ensure nutritional information is accurate, at client locations and remotely. He/She/They will maintain the integrity of a wellness program and will work to create engagement and marketing strategies that will educate and inspire healthy, onsite dining.

The Wellness Manager will provide expertise in understanding food programs, supporting customers in understanding options that align with their personal goals. He/She/They will work strategically with food managers to market food programs. He/She/They will seek partnerships with client groups, client supported vendors, and community to deliver a work experience for client employees that is best in class.

We are seeking a self-starter with excellent written/oral communication. The ability to create literature highlighting program nutrition highly desirable. Well spoken, service spirited customer facing promoter of health and wellness.

Success Criteria

  • Ensure contract promises, effectiveness and/or efficiency of delivered services in relation to Guckenheimer standards and concepts, leveraging innovation and best practice opportunities
  • Successful delivery of prioritized projects and programs
  • In partnership with internal and external stakeholders, understand upcoming priorities and link project delivery to the needs of the business
  • Develop own skill base in line with agreed appraisal, taking responsibility for increased performance, and ensuring continued self-improvement
  • Participate and embrace the development opportunities within group
  • Maintain a superior knowledge of wellness industry to guide and educate food team aligning with all efforts

Key Areas of Collaboration and Influence

  • Report to the Area Manager food and support account (client) locations
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues in North America so that information is disseminated effectively, and participate in project groups and meetings as required
  • Transfer best practice
  • Use the account to promote and further develop ISS/Guckenheimer

Ideal Candidate Experience

  • Registered Dietician (RD) credentialed, completion of an accredited dietetic internship program
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Google Suite
  • 2+ years of professional working experience as a RD
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in close collaboration with our Chefs and café teams
  • Must be compassionate, consistent, and fair to the needs of the employee and of the Company
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be detail oriented and organized with the ability to work independently, prioritize and multi-task
  • Must be willing to contribute and support fellow team members with a “hands on” approach to our operations when needed or asked in order to maintain our business
  • A balanced approach to health and wellness with a strong interest in culinary arts

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage NetMenu recipe analysis and/or signage process (MenuPlus) to ensure accuracy of nutritional information and integrity of wellness program
  • Develop creative strategies for engaging Cafe customers in healthy eating through education and marketing opportunities
  • Develop, plan, promote and execute café health and wellbeing events such as table displays, lunch and learn seminars and café tours
  • Develop nutrition and wellness content for educational events (seminars, table displays, cooking classes, etc.) as needs arise in the unit
  • Conduct onsite training with Guckenheimer unit staff on nutrition, health and performance related topics
  • Participate in Meeting of the Day (MOD) weekly to communicate nutrition and health related information
  • Support Guckenheimer team in maintaining a strong working relationship with client and client partners in order to support our food service operations and our client’s wellness initiatives
  • Report biweekly to Guckenheimer team and client on upcoming wellness events and communication needs
  • Share training materials and other program materials that have been developed with other Area Managers, Regional Executive Chefs, Marketing Managers, and any future Nutrition Strategy department positions to ensure consistency of our nutritional program
  • Support the National Nutrition and Wellness Director with ability to travel to other areas of the country as client and company needs dictate
  • Maintain a current report of wellness events, dates, and participation
  • Solicit customer feedback as feasible to determine effectiveness of wellness programing
  • Execute on strategic initiatives in the cafe as they pertain to health and wellness

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Extended periods of walking on premises
  • Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at a time
  • Must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods.

Employees are expected to actively participate in HSEQ training and report any potential hazards or compliance concerns.

ISS offers full time employees a variety of benefits including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, as well as a comprehensive leave program based on employment status. The annual salary range for this position is $91500.00  – $109350.00 . Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills, and may vary from the range listed above.
