Position Summary

We are seeking an intern to support our Nutrition Science group within our Minerals & Nutrients division, specifically working on research and scientific communication related to several ingredients within our portfolio, specifically chelated minerals and Vitamin K2. The candidate will gain exposure to clinical research data analysis, scientific translation into consumer-friendly language, and develop their ability to create external communications regarding the benefits of Balchem ingredients. The experience will provide the opportunity for cross-functional teamwork, contribution to value-add projects and ability to gain experience within a developing organization.

Essential Functions

  • Assist in data entry and analysis for clinical research projects
  • Aid in the development of manuscript preparation for publication
  • Translate findings into consumer-friendly messaging
  • Develop internal training materials on research data
  • Assist marketing & marketing communication teams in creating external promotional collateral for products within the minerals & nutrients portfolio

Requirements

  • Pursuing a graduate degree (MS, PhD) in nutrition science or a related degree
  • Good MS Office/computer skills.
  • Ability to systematically organize and present data, manage to project deadlines and ability to work, communicate cross functionally.
  • Experience with statistical analysis techniques and access to software is a plus (Excel, SAS, Minitab, etc)
